Cantina Valenza

Our favourite wine producer on Pantelleria is called Cantina Valenza. They make a great passito wine.

It’s run by the two ‘formidable’ brothers Valenza and they have made some famous friends over the years.

In 2004, Gerard Depardieu had his first passito wine produced and bottled here. It’s a cuvée that has become impossible to find apart from the three bottles we were able to see in the cantina. His ex-wife Carole Bouquet also decided to start producing this great desert wine and her ‘Sangue d’oro’ is now available even in Brussels at Rob Gourmet Market.
